Non-Soon 2003

One Hot Summer !!!

July - with 25 out of 31 days of 105 or above temps (including 15 days of 110 or above, the highest offical reaching 117), July 2003 was the hottest July on record.
With the lows ranging from 83 -96, except on two days when the low was 76 and 73. On the 29th, there was .61 inch of rain. That was it for July.

August saw 19 days of 105 temp and higher. With 6 days being 110 or higher, with only .51 inch of rain total for the month. This month did have 6 days where the low temp was in the 70's, but also had 5 days where the low temp was in the 90's.

September is still going strong, with above average temps, hovering around 105 and no sign of letting up. They tell us the monsoon is gone for the year.....

Now for the pictures....

We did get the appearance of storm clouds...

Makes a beautiful sky.

And we got dust......

This one is from about 5 in the after noon. Should be bright and sunny.

Rainbow in a dust storm
This is not a very good picture at this size. It is a rainbow during a dust storm, you can click the picture to see the larger, better picture.
