If you plan on visiting, please be aware, even with the steps up the back, this is still a hike. Wear the right shoes, bring WATER and start back down before dark. Don't be talked into "trying to come down the front" if it is your first time here. This is the desert also, so scorpions and snakes do make their homes here.
There are picnic tables, trails, a park with a lake and shade, many things to enjoy even if you don't plan on hiking.
