These first pictures are from the highway, along the way. The clouds
were beautiful that day.
This is Red Mountain.
Just some low clouds and mountains/desert taken while from the road,
looking north.
The low clouds simply looked amazing that day. I had to keep taking
pictures.
This is so beautiful, green desert, low clouds casting shadows, still
along the Beeline.
Mountains as far as the eye can see......
Rest Stop south of Payson - On East
side of the Highway
at the juntion of 87 (Beeline) and 188 East.
(nice clean restrooms, vending machines with pop, coffee, hot cocoa,
and candy bars)

Dedicated Photographer. Sun is
out, rain is coming down, have to get the picture.

Snow on the mountain west of the highway.

The clouds look so cool, down over the mountains.
Sun rays shining through the rain, while the clouds dance around the
mountain tops.

Pouring rain, sunshine and clouds on the mountain
what more could you ask for?
East Verde River
Just North of Payson, Still on highway 87

Fast moving, muddy river.

We could tell that it had been higher recently.
From the high way turn LEFT before the bridge that crosses the East
Verde.
Then take an immediate right to the parking lot. Our van was a nice
place to sit
and eat lunch, while it was raining.
We walked over to the area where the bridge was flooded and uncrossable.

Do not try to cross.. please see Arizona's
Stupid Motorist Law
In the hour we were there, several people came close, but no one tried
to cross.

The Beauty of it all
Back on the road, toward home.
