Payson,
Arizona

Payson Arizona is located in central Arizona,
a 90 minute drive from the Phoenix metropolitan area,
by way of the "Beeline" highway (State Highway 87)

This is Highway 87 in April 1999
But be prepared for snow, ice, and sometimes animals, depending on the time of year. In the summer months
be prepared with water, good tires and coolant in the radiator. Also let someone know which road you are taking.
This is a long stretch of highway, with no "rest stops" or "convenience stores" along the way. The directions are
simple, get on Highway 87 and head north until you get to the "Welcome to Payson" sign.

At an elevation of 5,000 feet,
Payson is set amidst one of the
largest stands of Ponderosa pine
in the world, Nestled beneath the
Mogollon Rim.

Flowing Springs -

Go north out of Payson, turn right on Flowing
Springs road. A beautiful place to camp and
swim in the summer. When camping always
pay attention to the Fire Danger, we want it to
stay as it is.

East Verde River

Go a little further and turn left before the bridge,
you will find more of the East Verde river.
This area offers breathtaking beauty and peacefulness.
