Arizona Terrorism and Other Concerns
Things in our country have changed a lot since I first started this web site. I have always tried to provide information and yet keep the site lighthearted and family friendly. The truth is that our country is neither lighthearted nor family friendly.
I decided to add these links for two reasons. The first
being that many people who have visited my site have emailed me, asking for
such information, and second, I have found myself looking up these sites to
answer my own questions, time after time.
If I am looking for the answer to questions, then I
imagine other parents are too.
These links are not only related to Terrorism as in 9-11,
they also contain information about drug trafficking and other severe concerns.
Some of these are official government sites, with
“canned” information (How many flashlights you should have in your survival
kit), some have “Facts and statistics”( Arizona shares a 370-mile border with
Mexico. This border area, a large portion of which is open and sparsely
populated, cannot be continuously monitored by border enforcement agencies and
is used extensively by drug trafficking organizations (DTOs) to smuggle illicit
drugs into the United States.)
Some of these links have information that is informative
yet biased. I am not putting these here to say I agree with all of these
opinions. I may not agree with all of the opinions, but did find something I
deemed worth knowing on each of these sites.
There are also things I have looked for and cannot find.
I would like to know if the local cities have evacuation plans in place, just
in case. I would like to see a workable
model of evacuating the Metro Phoenix area, if anyone knows where I can find
one please email me.
Some things I have found and would rather have not found.
Diagrams for Palo Verde Nuclear Power plant, with information on how it works,
that link I am not putting on here.
